25 July 2026 – Sunflower donated Honda CRV to Khartiya for logistical support. This important brigade is defending Kharkiv from the Russian aggression in the region of Lyptsty and Kupyansk. The vehicle will help the brave Ukrainian defenders to do their job and protect innocent civilians.
We are proud to continue supporting Khartiya. This is a highly effective brigade, that is at the core of the defence of north-east Ukraine. Russia terrorises Kharkiv every day with missiles and Shahed drones. Lately, they started sending smaller FPV drones which attack petrol stations, hunt for individual vehicles and even people on the streets.
But most importantly, the Russian army has invaded areas 10-15 km from Kharkiv, and if it wasn’t for Khartiya the city would be subject to unimaginable horrors.
We sincerely thank all donors and supporters, who helped us to fund this vehicle. This project isn’t our first donaiton (see below), and – hopefully – it won’t be the last. Together with you, we need to keep supporting the brave Ukrainian women and men who are giving their lives to protect others.
Before driving the car to Ukraine, we serviced it. It needed quite an intensive repair. We fixed the rear brakes (discs, pads, AMB sensor, parking brakes), changed oil in the engine, gearbox, and differential. Big thanks to Lochrin Autos, Edinburgh, for donating parts for the brakes!
Congratulaitons to Vitaliy for joining Khartiya
Sunflower Scotland’s former volunteer Vitalyi Hryhorov decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine and protect his country. We sincerely congratulate him on this important decision. His commander decided that Vitaliy wold be a driver and will be using the Honda CRV to perform his duties.
