Sunflower Scotland delivered two 4×4 trucks to brave Ukrainians from the Territorial defence forces (TRO) who defend their home country. One truck was delivered to a TRO Fire Support battalion deployed in Bakhmut. Another truck was provided to a TRO Drone Surveillance unit currently working near the New-York village. Donbas is the most difficult part of the Ukraine’s front line. TRO do not receive the same level of support as ZSU, and that is why volunteer aid is very important to them.
We want to thank all Scottish and American donors who made this mission possible.
“We execute the full process, from start to finish. That’s how we make sure the vehicles get in the right hands.”

The process
Sunflower Scotland delivered the vehicles in the hands of those who need them. We executed the full process, from start to finish.
IMPORTANT: we work in 100% compliance with British and Ukraine laws. Our vehicles have proper insurance and customs paperwork. We do not cut corners.

The journey
We set off from Edinburgh. We drove through Europe to Poland, and crossed to Ukraine. We made a short stop in Lviv. From here, we took the E40 road via Kyiv, towards Poltava, before turning to Dnipro. On Wednesday 22nd March we took the road to Kostyantynivka, and finally reached Chasiv Yar: the backdrop of Bakhmut. This was the most highly contested, the scariest part of the front line.
The total distance travelled was about 2350 miles. The vehicles arrived in working condition, without any breakdowns. Please see deliveries in Kostyantynivka and Chasiv Yar marked on our “aid delivery map”.
Sunflower Scotland sends its cordial gratitude to Ret. Major General Mark MacCarley, US Army, who donated money for one of the jeeps, and greatly supported this mission.
In Chasiv Yar, we found a medical post, where doctors were working hard to save lives of wounded soldiers. We brought some specialist bandages from Scotland. They were donated by a British veteran: he knew exactly what was needed, and Ukrainian medics were really grateful.
