Sunflower Scotland delivered delivered 227 aid bags to Novooleksandrivka, near Vovchansk, Kharkiv region. Our brave and selfless volunteers Vitalii and Oleksii delivered aid, and supported the residents.
Novooleksandrivka is a rather large village. It was under russian occupation for 8 months, from February to September 2022. There was a lot of damage to people’s houses and communal buildings.
But after the village was liberated, it’s problems haven’t ended. Even today it suffers from regular shelling by the russian terrorists. The village is located only 15 km from the border. When we visited, they hit the electric transformer, and most houses didn’t have electricity. A recent shelling destroyed the local school.
We brought 227 bags with washing and cleaning supplies, which we purchased in Ukraine. This was the second (and larger) part of our two-day aid mission in the Vovchansk district (please read our report about our aid delivery to Virivka, Baksheivka and Lozova).
Each aid bag included:
- Washing powder 3 packs (1,2kg)
- Shampoo 500 ml
- Toothpaste 1 tube
- Soap 1 bar
- Toilet paper 1 roll
- Kitchen cleaning liquid 1 bottle (500 ml)
- Bathroom cleaning powder 1 box (500 g)
We thank our kind British donors for their donations. Only thanks to their help we can continue this important work, and support those who need it most.
