12 May 2025 – Sunflower Scotland delivers two 4×4 vehicles to Ukraine’s defenders in Zaporizhzhia and Donbas. Overall, we delivered 36 cars and ambulances to help Ukrainians protect the innocent civilians and the country.
Both vehicles were donated absolutely for free.
Nissan X Trail donated to the 128th brigade
We purchased, serviced and donated a Nissan X Trail to the 128th Territorial Brigade in Zaporizhzia.
We bought the car in Sunderland. The owner – when she understood what Sunflower was doing and where the car was going – gave us an massive discount. We are very grateful for that!
Our friends at RA Commercials Ltd, a garage in Penicuik, did an oil service and changed the front suspension and brakes really quickly. Lochrin Autos fitted new all-season tyres. We thank both garages for their help and professionalism!
We loaded humanitarian aid, and drove the car all the way from Scotland. We met at a location 20 km from the front line, south of Zaporizhzhia.
Spiders for Ukraine donate Ford Ranger
This was a cooperation project between Spiders for Ukraine and Sunflower Scotland. A wonderful example of how Scottish third sector can cooperate to to help Ukraine and save lives.
Spiders for Ukraine provided full funding and asked us to help them. Sunflower purchased an ex-council pickup truck at an auction in England. It was in a very good technical condition, and had BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres.
Spiders asked us to deliver the vehicle to the 5th Assault Brigade in Donbas. We met with the boys in Shakhtarske, on the road between Pavlohrad and Pokrovsk, and handed-over the pickup.
