10 May 2025 – Sunflower continues to support our dear friends, children with disabilities, and delivers humanitarian aid to Kryvyi Rih.
For more than one year, we have been visiting Kryvyi Rih bringing humanitarian aid in order to support these wonderful young souls. We have become good friends. They are waiting for us, every time we come. They have various disabilities, Down’s syndrome, osteoporosis, etc. but each is a truly wonderful person and we can’t wait to meet each other.
Each time we bring 7-8 kg of essential supplies like washing powder, kids shampoo, toothpaste etc. But it’s not the items that have value, it’s the love and the effort from the people of Scotland.
Children need our support now, when the war continues, to know that they aren’t forgotten, that their lives matter and that they have friends who love them and wouldn’t let them perish alone.
Our love to the struggling children of Ukraine is not “likes” on Facebook. We show love by our work, by bringing aid directly to them. Live in Kryvyi Rih is dangerous, every day Russia sends kamikaze drones and missiles to kill people in their sleep in towns across Ukraine. Kryvyi Rih is hit very often. Innocent people, women and children, die.
We are here. You are our friends, and we are here to support you and hold your hands.
