In October Sunflower continued buying food aid in Ukraine, which we first started this September. We concluded that this program was working well. This way, we were helping Ukraine’s economy: local producers and small food shops. Our team made two missions delivering 375 food bags. Our trips followed Ukraine’s September counter-offensive, when large parts of the Kharkiv regions were liberated.
Kupyansk-Vuzlovoi and Kivsharivka, the situation was very dangerous. Roads were not yet cleared from land mines. Having lived for 200 days in occupation, people in the de-occupied areas really struggled without income, food and medical care. That’s why our team went there to bringing food as soon as the roads opened.
- Kupyansk-Vuzlovoi and Kivsharivka, 08 October 2022 (200 food rations)
- Kozacha Lopan, 15th October 2022 (175 food rations)
