Our cordial thanks to Nonna Martynova-Abashidze, a wonderful Ukrainian businesswoman from Kharkiv for donating eight boxes of new shoes and clothes to orphan children. Vitaliy Grigorov, Sunflower Scotland‘s representative in Kharkiv, delivered all donations and provided a detailed photo report.
Nonna (Facebook: Нонна Мартынова-Абашидзе) saw how Vitaly Grigorov (and Sunflower Scotland) help foster families and 199 orphan kids in Kharkiv Oblast. She was very touched and decided to help. She prepared a big donation of new, top quality footwear and clothes for kids.
Nonna trusted Sunflower Scotland to deliver aid. We very much appreciate the trust of our donors, and provide detailed reports to show that the aid goes to those who need it!
Vitaly Grigorov took Nonna’s donation and delivered into the hands of the orphan children. They were extremely glad to receive the new, fashionable and expensive clothes, flip-flops and boots.
We are very glad that Nonna, the Ukrainian businesswoman, helped the children. She sets an excellent example for all other business community. Seeing happy photos of children in photos is our biggest reward.
We thank Nonna and other donors from Scotland and from Ukraine, for supporting the most vulnerable people in Ukraine: orphan children, people with disabilities and the elderly. They suffer the most from the war, but their voice is not always heard.
The Kharkiv Region is under attack…and our work is dangerous: this morning Saltyvka, where Vitaliy stays, was attacked by a Russian Shahed killer drone. He could have escaped to a safer part of Ukraine, but who would help the children?
At Sunflower Scotland, we understand the risk, and we accept it: we don’t stop. Please support our work with your donations. They are important for us to support our team in Ukraine, pay for fuel, and repair our vehicles.
