16 December 2025 – Sunflower Scotland donated a Honda CRV to the drone team of the 95th Brigade, near Slovyansk.
We met with Volodymyr from the 95th in Sumy. He asked us for a vehicle for his team. A coupe of months later we were able to help them.
We thank all our supporters who helped us with donations. We used the money to buy Ecoflow batteries for orphans in foster families 25 miles from the border (drone danger). So we used the Honda and Oleg’s VW van to get the batteries to the children. After delivering our humanitarian cargo, we donated the Honda.
Boys often offer us money. But we always refuse. The only thing we ask for is brigade patches. Here’s the patch they gave us this time.
Volodymyr sent us a location, just behind Slovyansk, near the river. Stevie and Oleg drove there from Dnipro, via Petropavlivka. Some of the roads were already covered with anti-drone nets, to protect the cars from Russian FPV drones. But other sretches of road were still unprotected.
Near Slovyansk, the drone detector was beeping constantly.
We decided to take a shortcut, and return via the Slovyansk – Izium road. We put on our body armour and helmets, and took the rouad that goes around Slovyansk.
The road was covered with anti-drone netting, and then suddenly it ended and we were in the open. The drone detector was yelling from drone signals.
After that the screen flashed and showed our van.
It’s a bad sign, means the drone is coming at you. Oleg couldn’t find the right gear, for a few seconds our van was stalling. Finally, he pushed the stick in the third gear and the van roared and rushed forward.
Luckily, in just a few hundred meters the road entered a forest. It was early evening, and it was foggy. The drone lost us. We pressed on to Izium, the rest of the way under anti-drone nets.
