25 June 2026 – Sunflower Scotland donated a Ford Transit medium wheelbase van to the medics of the 253rd Assault Regiment “Arei”. The van comes with an ambulance stretcher bed and spinal boards, for evacuation of the wounded. We met at Zaporizhzhia, near a big shopping centre which was destroyed by Russians just a few weeks later. We thank everyone who helped!
We met with medics of the 253rd Assault Regiment, and they explained us how drone war had changed everything. Marked ambulances and humanitarian vehicles are targets. The Russians specifically target bright yellow-green ambulances.
That’s why we sourced and donated this van, which is just a standard white van. But it’s a large, medium wheelbase and high-roof modification. There’s lots of space inside, to put extra seats, and a stretcher bed.

Thank you for important medical donations
We donated important medical equipment kindly gifted by our supporters: Phil from wales provided a top-quality FERNO stretcher and two spinal boards. John donated a mobile patient monitor.

Alison donated a few gas masks, and ten sets of Gore-tex British uniforms.

We thank everyone who contributed money and useful items. We were able to realise this project only thanks to you!
P.S. Van spotted at the Zaporizhzhia front
A couple of weeks after, our Ukrainian volunteer sent us a message: “I was driving with a friend near the front here in Zaporizhzhia, and I saw the van which I helped to drive”. He said the van was parked behind a building, hidding from drones. He noticed it because he helped us to drive it from Lviv, and he remembered the vehicle.
It’s always good to hear that our vehicles are used, tha thtey are working and helping Ukraine.
