For two years, Sunflower Scotland has been bringing mobility aids from Scotland to Kherson. Many kind people in Scotland are helping us to collect them. Scottish paramedics, AUGB Edinburgh, St Columba’s Hospice and others. Where do all these supplies go? Are they really needed? Please see these heartbreaking pictures. Local volunteers in Kherson are distributing your donations to the older and disabled people, those who are left behind.
Kherson is the most horrific humanitarian catastrophe in Ukraine. is so dangerous. The Russians are openly targeting civilians on the streets: what is happening in Kherson is known as “human safari”.

There are thousands of older people, with disabilities and mobility difficulties. Why do they stay in this hell on Earth?
The state pension is about £50 per month. To rent a flat in a safe city, you need at least £300. They simply cannot escape this shooting range, and have to sit and wait for their turn.
We are helping a local charity: “Strong because free”. Sunflower Scotland brings medical supplies, incontinence products, crutches, stoma bags, etc. Directly from Scotland to Kherson.

The local volunteers make lists of people who need help. They distribute our donations, together with supplies from a few other European charities.
Please see photos of mobility aids, crutches and adult nappies which you donated. They all have been given to those who needed them. Thank you!

Sincere thanks to everyone who helped and donated
We would like to thank AUGB Edinburgh and its volunteers, Scottish paramedics, St Columba’s Hospice Care Edinburgh, and many others who donate zimmer frames
