Renault Trafic van donated to the 21st Corps in Kharkiv

27 November 2025 – Sunflower Scotland donated a Renault Trafic van for the Ukrainian 21st Corps, to help them protect Kharkiv from the east.

We met with Palych in 2023, in Konstaha (Kostyantynivka). His unit was defending Chasiv Yar. It was a sunny afternoon, and he treated us to 3-in-1 coffees. He was cracking jokes and we were having a good time.

The same night, Oleg went to visit him in a hospital in Dnipro, after he was injusred by a shell that detonated a few meters from him. After recovering for a few months he went back to the front.

In 2025, we learned that Palych and his team of the 151st battalion were decimated. He was OK, together with a few boys. Oleg phoned him and he said he was being transferred to a newly formed regiment. It turned out, this was the end of the 151st battalion. And his personal car was severely damaged by a drone.

In the new regiment, they needed everything, including vehicles. Especially Palych needed a van, for food and other essential supplies. Of course, we responded.

Big thanks to a Scottish donor

In September, a very generous and kind Scottish person contacted us, and offered to donate his van. It was in a great shape. We were really glad, becase we knew this van would be perfect for Palych.

Medical supplies

As always, we used the van to bring lots of medical supplies and clothes to the wounded soliders. We donated them to the 13th City Hospital in Kharkiv (see our report).

Palych joined us in the hospital, he helped to carry bags with clothes between rooms, and greeted the boys who were getting better in the hospital.

After donating all supplies, we gave the van to Palych. As always, our help was absolutely free.
