Icons on ammunition boxes

Icons of Christian saints painted on ammunition boxes used for AKM bullets and artillery shells – each one directly from Ukraine’s front line. Every icon was hand-painted in Ukraine by renowned Ukrainian artists Sonya Atlantova and Oleksandr Klymenko.

These exceptional works have earned international recognition, having been exhibited at the European Parliament, the 2023 NATO Summit, across 111 cities in Europe, and featured in the documentary The Saints Are Watching.

Now, for the first time in Scotland, you have an exclusive opportunity to see them in person and purchase them. See out calendar of exhibitions below.
